The Wonders of Wool!!

Some of you have heard about my new little hobby, if not, i have taken up knitting!!! Yep thought id tackle the challenge and skill of learning how to make my own 2010 scarf, which i reckon ill turn into a snood! Definitely not the easiest of things to learn but i am determined to crack it! So far so good, what do you think?..

...Excuse the holes, but i am only a beginner!
Once i become a confident knitter i want to create lots of knitted accessories or small
body pieces... Here are some ideas for my future projects of mine, also potential to slide it into Chloes A/W capsule collection!..

**Last knitting class and look at what i have achieved! Must admit, i am quite chuffed with myself, this cable knit was rather tricky but i did it!! I just need to squeeze in the time to practice!
This is my cable!!!
*Here are some images of some tricky knitting that has be hand made and on show at the Fashion and Textiles Museum..

Here is what i have been working on. I have used a really soft and fluffy yarn on 20mm needles. This gives a very loose knit. I used a ribbed pattern for this, although you cannot tell that it is a rib, you can start to see the rippled effect coming alone. I cannot stress enough how soft this yarn is!!!! Cant wait till i have time to make my own scarf!
Do you like?
